Curriculum Overview

This course is designed to build upon students' skills, as they develop a strong algebra foundation, in preparation for Algebra I which they'll take next year. In this course students will be challenged to think critically, to apply their skills to real world problems, to clearly and thoroughly explain their process, and to articulate the meaning of their answer.

Topics include simplifying expressions, evaluating and solving equations and inequalities, and graphing linear functions/equations. Real world applications are presented within the course content, emphasizing further development of students' problem solving and analytical skills.
