Skating on the IACS Pond!

posted Jan 16, 2015, 6:48 PM by Erik Arnold
The Construction and Outdoor Adventure choice block has cleared the snow off a section of the IACS pond and made a nice skating rink. Students were out there on Tuesday and had a great time skating...for some students it was their first time on skates! We are going to do our best to maintain the rink this winter and hopefully the weather won't make the job too hard. Students and parents are welcome to free skate (at their own risk of course) after school. If any family has some used skates or hockey sticks that they would be willing to donate please contact Dr. Arnold at earnold@innovationcharter.org as we are trying to put together a collection of equipment for students that don't have any. The choice block students also constructed two new bridges and cleared some brush that has improved the trail around the pond by making it more accessible to hikers & bikers. More improvements are in the works as well...stay tuned.
