A message from one of our proud art teachers, Mr. Zach Pelham...
I just wanted to let everyone know that juniors, Victoria Miller and Vivian Cook, have been accepted to represent Innovation Academy at the 2015 Massachusetts Art All-State. Art All-State is an annual arts event sponsored by the Massachusetts Art Education Association, which high schools around Massachusetts nominate students to attend. The application process is rigorous and highly competitive as students are fighting for limited spots in the program against the best art students in the state. Nominees submit portfolios of their artwork, write personal essays, and interview before a panel to discuss their art. The All-State event will take place on June 12-13 at the UMass Dartmouth campus, where participating students from around Massachusetts will view, discuss, and make art in collaborative groups with local artists. It's a great opportunity for young aspiring artists, and a great accomplishment for Victoria and Vivian.
