Over 1.5 million students took the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test last October and entered the National Merit Scholarship Program, a nationwide competition for recognition and awards conducted by National Merit Scholarship Corporation.

Seniors Cameron Braunstein and Jordan Leedberg were recognized as Commended Students for their exceptional academic promise and placed among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition.

Senior Nicholas Scarsadale has been recognized as a National Merit Semifinalist and will continue on in the National Merit Scholarship Competition to become a finalist and potentially receive a National Merit Scholarships as well as college sponsored scholarships. By being a semifinalist, Nicholas is part of a small pool of students representing less than one percent of high school seniors in the United State and this includes the highest entrants in each state.

Congratulations to Cameron, Jordan and Nicholas!!
