Community Service

posted Jan 22, 2016, 12:57 PM by Erik Arnold
Thanks to the efforts of our new Director of Community Outreach and School Development, Tina Lindberg, the number of community service projects that IACS students have been involved in this year has increased substantially over previous years. Tina has contacted many non-profit organizations in the surrounding community to arrange for our advisories to perform community service. Today, the grade 9 McCarthy/Arnold Advisory went to the Wish Project in Lowell. We spent 2 hours helping to sort through donated clothing and baby items. These items are given for free to families that were previously homeless and are still in need of the basic necessities for their household: clothes, bedding, furniture, cookware, etc... I encourage all IACS families to check out their website (www.thewishproject.org) and see if they have some items at home that they could donate to the Wish Project. It was a great experience for our students today and they did a wonderful job.
