Extra Help- Tuesdays 3:00

Grades close Friday 11/22 for Progress Report 2- ALL MISSING WORK should be turned in before then

Students are nearly finished with our Global Design Challenge, the “Water Project”, which focused on problems related to availability of and access to fresh water. Teams were created based on individual topic selection including aquifer depletion, nutrient overload, the Flint Michigan water crisis, and microbead & plastics contamination. Using the Engineering Design Process as a general guide, students have researched the problem and various solutions, brainstormed and selected their “best” option, and have just finished building prototypes and creating technical drawings. Next step will be to communicate their solution through a brochure, technical bulletin, or newsletter, then teams will make a formal presentation to the class. Come see the results on display at Exhibition Night in January!

Important due dates coming up-

  1. Project work is due: Technical drawings, due by Friday 11/8; Project report due Monday 11/18 before class (A&B), end of class (D), and Tuesday 11/6 before class (E).  All important project docs can be found in this list (and also in the Water Project folder to the left)

  2. Presentations will start Friday 11/22 and continue week of 11/25.
