Course Overview
Representational art is recognizable as a person, place, or thing. Throughout the semester students will learn about the history of representational art, and the various skills, traditions, and intentions artists have for making representational art while developing skills in composition, proportion, perspective, shading, coloring, and mark-making. Students will investigate representation through a series of projects which explore ancient representational subjects including still-life, landscape, and human form, through a variety of mediums and materials.
