Families are a vital part of the school community at Innovation Academy. Families work as partners with Innovation Academy Staff to support their child's academic and social growth. To help students meet their full potential, teachers, families and students communicate regularly. Innovation Academy Charter School teachers provide consistent feedback to families and comprehensive assessments twice a year. In the Fall and Spring, teachers, students and parents participate in student led conferences centered on creating and monitoring an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) for each student. We hope families will find the information on our website enables them to understand course requirements, track academic expectations, and to stay up to date with school events. In addition, families should use their portal to our online gradebook (x2) on a regular basis to see their student's current grades and progress on individual assignments. Families also participate in a number of organizations to support the school, including our IACA, which is our general parent association, the Expansion Initiative, which raises funds for expanding our facilities, and the Parent Advisory Council, which supports families in making use of student services supports.
