Getting Involved

How to Get Involved

If you are interested in the work of our Board, the following steps are recommended:
  1. Come to our meetings! Our schedule is posted online, and on the school calendar. You can also attend committee meetings which are announced on the front page of the school website as well as on our meeting and minutes page.
  2. Learn more about the responsibilities of a board member in these attached documents: FAQ, Board Information Links,  and the Board Member “job” description.
  3. Learn more  about  the role of the Board at IACS  in the Governance section of our website.  We also discuss the use of Policy Governance as a model for how we operate.
  4. Learn about our current Trustees, and our committees . Committees are not always comprised entirely of Board members, so this may be a good way to get involved. You can contact the committee chair to learn more.
